Rare Victorian Carved Moonstone Ring Intaglio Ring Cameo Ring 14k Yellow Gold Rose Gold Engagement Ring

This moonstone is an absolute treasure!

One approximately 13.5mm x 9mm carved moonstone is bezel set into an ornate 14k yellow gold bezel. The moonstone is gorgeous with amazing blue flashes in some light and completely clear in other light. This is a top quality antique carved moonstone in excellent condition. The image of the face appears perhaps Roman to me with the way the hair is swept up with some type of hair piece. The bezel has incredibly detailed gold work to it and looks like it was created by hand.

The band of this ring is quite unique crafted from 14k solid rose gold. I suspect that the moonstone and yellow gold bezel are older and the band was added at a later date. Nonetheless, the piece is in excellent ready to wear condition and the rose gold band picks up the beautiful colors in the moonstone. This ring is very substantial and comfortable on the finger. It has a relatively low profile and would be easy to wear every day.
